Chynna Comer
Human Resources Manager
Originally from Arizona’s White Mountains, Chynna Comer moved to Albuquerque at age 17 and has been proud to call the city home ever since. She is a homeowner, a wife, and a mother of two young children. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, planning events, and finding creative ways to bring people together—interests that naturally complement her approach to building positive, supportive workplace environments.
Chynna serves as the Human Resources Manager for the Office of Family Representation and Advocacy, where she provides comprehensive HR leadership and technical expertise to support the agency’s mission and staff. She oversees full‑cycle recruitment, payroll processing, employee relations, and policy guidance, and collaborates closely with agency leadership. She also leads the agency’s Sunshine Committee, coordinating employee engagement and recognition efforts that strengthen connection and morale across the organization.
Before joining OFRA, Chynna spent several years with the U.S. Forest Service in the Research and Development division, where she served as a Lead Human Resources Specialist. Chynna’s career foundation began in the medical field, where she spent 12 years as an office manager for optometry clinics. Her experience coordinating operations, supporting staff, and managing patient‑focused services shaped her collaborative style, strong communication skills, and dedication to delivering thoughtful, people‑centered HR support.
